Listed below are the many groups that make up the Music Ministry.

 

CHILDREN’S CHOIR

  • Using variety of musical styles; from VBS. Contemporary Christian songs, traditional hymns and familiar songs.  The group sings Sundays 9:45 AM or 11:30 AM twice a month during the school season
  • The choir will sing at various Sunday Masses, community wide Thanksgiving Service and our Annual Christmas Concert.
  • Any child Grades 2-8 is invited to join this energetic program.
  • Regular Rehearsals on Wednesdays at 5:30- 6:30 pm at the Music Room starting Sept. 14, 2011
     
Contemporary Choir/Praise Band
  • Mix Choir which consists of Youth and Adults
  • Practice every Sunday at 4:15 PM in Church (before Mass)
  • Sing every Sunday at the 5:30 PM Contemporary Mass
  • Audition is required to check vocal range
  • Familiarity with Contemporary Music is helpful
  • Instrumentalists Needed for: Bass, Violin, Cello, Flute, Congo
  • With 2 years experience with instrument and can sight read music pieces at hand
  • Fast paced experience. Must have enthusiasm for Music and Worship
  • Web-based music line up/selection (Facebook, Youtube, KSBJ.org)
 
Saturday Ensemble
  • Singers (adult & youth) and Instrumentalists (with 3 yrs. experience)
  • Practice each Saturday at 4:30 PM in the Church (before mass)
  • Sing every Saturday at the 5:30 PM Mass
  • The group is led by a Cantor and Accompanist
  • Familiarity with traditional & contemporary music is helpful
    
Sunday 11:30 Choir/Singers
  • Singers (adult & youth)
  • Full orchestra (strings & winds with 3 years experience)
  • Practice each Sunday at 10:30AM in the church (before mass)
  • Worship every Sunday at 11:30AM
  • Audition is required
     
Adult Choir
 
  • The adult choir is for Adults – men and women. High School students are welcome who wants to sing more serious music
  • The choir will lead the assembly at the Sunday 9:30 AM   Mass and to underline the message of the day in the singing of anthems as well as community wide Thanksgiving, Holy Day Service and our Annual Christmas Concert.                                                 
  • Everyone who can carry a tune on pitch and loves to sing is welcome to join
  • Choir members must attend Regular Rehearsals on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM at Music Room
 
Cantors
  • The cantor is responsible for leading the assembly in song. 
  • This person must possess a skill in correct pronunciation and diction. 
  • Audition is required. Voice coaching is available.
  • Cantors lead worship every Sunday at all masses.
 
 
Orchestra
Epiphany of the Lord Orchestra was organized with the primary purpose to accompany  the voice of the assembly and help enhance and beautify the sung prayer at the Sunday 11:30 AM Mass and desired to enhance the worship on special feast days, holidays and other special celebrations.

 

  • Strings, Brass & Woodwinds minimum of 3 yrs experience
  • Must be open to developing your sight-reading skills
  • Audition is required to check your performance ability
  • Need experienced members to form ensembles for extra Christmas/Easter masses in the Family Center.
  • Regular weekly rehearsals are Sundays, 10:45 -11:15 AM at the church.
  • Mass – Sunday 11:30 AM
  • Christmas and Event Rehearsals will scheduled
 
Rhythm Section
  • Percussionists: V-Drums, Congas, Jembe, Tambourine, Clavas, etc.
  • Guitarists; Bass, Rhythm & Lead (acoustic / electric)
  • Minimum of 4 yrs experience
  • Audition is required to check your performance ability
  • Familiarity with various musical styles is encouraged
 
Organists, Pianists, and other Keyboard (MIDI) Players
  • Must have at least 6 yrs. experience
  • Audition is required
  • Willingness to play traditional and contemporary hymns
  • Organ lessons are available
