Listed below are the many groups that make up the Music Ministry.

Children’s Choir
- Boys and Girls in Grades 3-5 Practice on Wednesdays from 5:30 - 6:30 PM in the Music Room
- Sing at two masses each month. At the 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM alternately
- Beginning level students are taught music “fun-damentals”
- Choir Directors are local music educators in the KISD
Junior High Choir
- Students in grades 6-8
- Practice once each month
- Learn one set of music for mass
- Sing the set of music at different masses each month
Life Teen Choir
- Teenagers in Grades 9-12
- Practice each Sunday at 4:15 PM in Church (before mass)
- Sing every Sunday at the 5:30 PM Life Teen Mass
- Fast paced experience. Must have enthusiasm for Worship!
Saturday Ensemble
- Singers (adult & youth) and Instrumentalists (with 3 yrs. experience)
- Practice each Saturday at 4:30 PM in the Church (before mass)
- Sing every Saturday at the 5:30 PM Mass
- The group is led by a Cantor and Accompanist
- Familiarity with traditional & contemporary music is helpful
Sunday 11:30 Ensemble
- Singers (adult & youth)
- Full orchestra (strings & winds with 3 years experience)
- Practice each Sunday at 10:30AM in the church (before mass)
- Worship every Sunday at 11:30AM
- Audition is required
Adult Choir
- This group is open to all adults and high school students.
- Rehearsal every Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 PM in the music room
- Sing every Sunday at the 9:30 AM Mass
- A core group of singers will help you learn basics of music
- Audition is required to check your vocal range
Cantors
- The cantor is responsible for leading the assembly in song.
- This person must possess a skill in correct pronunciation and diction.
- Audition is required. Voice coaching is available.
- Cantors lead worship every Sunday at all masses.
Handbell Choir
- Open to adults willing to share time to enhance the liturgy with bells.
- Practice on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:00 AM in the church.
- Play on special occasions during Christmas & Easter
- Some musical understanding would be helpful, though not required.
- Childcare is Provided.
Orchestra
- Strings, Brass & Woodwinds minimum of 3 yrs experience
- Must be open to developing your sight-reading skills
- Audition is required to check your performance ability
- Need experienced members to form ensembles for extra Christmas/Easter masses in the Family Center.
- Music Director is KISD consultant / accompanist
Rhythm Section
- Percussionists: V-Drums, Congas, Jembe, Tambourine, Clavas, etc.
- Guitarists; Bass, Rhythm & Lead (acoustic / electric)
- Minimum of 4 yrs experience
- Audition is required to check your performance ability
- Familiarity with various musical styles is encouraged
Organists, Pianists, and other Keyboard (MIDI) Players
- Must have at least 6 yrs. experience
- Audition is required
- Willingness to play traditional and contemporary hymns
- Organ lessons are available
