Each Sunday in Mass the bread and wine that will become the Body and Blood of Christ, are presented to the Priest by members of the gathered faithful. Although the bread and wine are no longer provided directly by the faithful, it is still a significant symbol of the offering of the community to the Lord. This offering also symbolizes the way in which each of us is called to offer ourselves to the Lord on the altar with the sacrficial Lamb that is Christ!
This moment in the mass provides a wonderful chance for members of the congregation to bring forward the bread and wine which are essential to the Eucharistic Sacrifice. At least 2 people are needed to bring up the gifts at each mass. If you are interested in being a gift-bearer please fill out the form below and you will be included in the schedule.
