Spiritual direction is time set aside to reflect on your spiritual journey with a trained spiritual director. It is the process of encountering God at a deeply personal level and recognizing a desire to live out the reality of that encounter with God, others and yourself.

For centuries, spiritual direction has existed in the Christian tradition. In the fast-paced nature of today's society, spiritual direction is increasingly sought by people who desire a deeper relationship with God and need someone to companion them in that search. Spiritual direction is considered an art that recognizes the Holy Spirit as the true director.

A spiritual director is trained with knowledge of religious heritage in the Christian tradition together with an understaning of human development. The spiritual director is especially gifted in the areas of listening and prayer. A spiritual director will ask challenging questions to stimulate even deeper reflection on your part.
